Colchester 19 January 2025

A cold and dank day in Colchester with the AYWMC East Anglia Group, but one of great interest. Colchester is the oldest town in this country, and the architecture reflects this, from Roman through Mediaeval to modern. We visited St Botolph's Priory, the castle, the Dutch Quarter and the High Street, finishing with a very much needed warm drink and bit to eat at a Turkish inspired coffee house. The consensus was that another visit is in order, but in another season (spring or early summer).
